       as an interesting note on bottle propping.... there 1948 research was
done AND published in PEDIATRICS on cup feeding... WHY? there was great
concern about sensory deprivation from bottle propping and cup feeding did not
allow for propping adn neccesitated HOLDING the baby! This study included a
860 gram baby completely cup fed to dischare  pm the 80th day of life weighing
2610 grams!!
