Margery, thank you for your response.  I thank all of you for your questions
and suggestions and sharing of your experience.  Can you imagine doing this
work "all alone"?

Yes, there is most likely not a problem.  They past several weeks have been
spent making sure of that. As I said in reply to Jan, the parents and the
physician suspect that all is well.  Mom even chuckled that if it were
winter and baby had long pants and sleeves she wouldn'e hear so many comments.

I don't believe that mom is feeling that something is *wrong* with her milk,
just as nothing is *wrong* with her baby.  She would just like to see her
gain a little more. She believes in her milk and she believes in her baby.
She rejects the "force feeding" that some have advised and she is ready to
relax and feed her baby.  She is enjoying the avacado and coconut sprinkles
and Tofutti frozen dessert.

We've talked about this and the parents know it.

Yes. and No, there is only breast, and baby does a lot of night feeding in
bed with mom.
