It's unfortunate that nutrition programs as well as most health
professional programs are lacking a curriculum in breastfeeding.  I never
learned anything about breastfeeding in my Dietetics program.  There is
also a well known textbook on infant feeding which some of you may know
about. Just reading it gets me upset as the author is very negative about
breastfeeding.

Another point of interest is that as far as calcium the newly revised
RDA's which are called the DRI's (Daily Reference Intakes I think is what
that stands for) have been lowered for infants.  This is because
breastmilk is being considered the golden standard.  Maybe this student's
professor is not even keeping up with nutrition.  I feel bad that this
mother who obviously is doing exactly as she should had to get such
