This term was coined by the Brits, it may have been Sheila Kitzinger or
poss. Chloe Fisher. It means spending a couple of days in bed with new
baby, partner who spends some of the time in bed and the rest serving food
and drink. It is recommended for that period a few days after the birth
when things are really hectic, mother feels jet-lagged and is worried she
doesn`t have enough milk. No visitors and no phone calls, unless
grandparents come round with a pot of soup, wash the dishes - and go home
again.
