In my experience, the moms I help don't have any problem getting a Reglan
prescription from their doctors, especially compared with obtaining
Domperidone. Some moms who take the medication have experienced extreme
fatigue, and depression is a concern if taken long-term (longer than a few
months). Since Reglan is designed to improve intestinal motility, a
couple of moms I've helped have had debilitating diarrhea from the drug.

Since the mom you're helping has been breastfeeding for 3m already, I
don't know if increasing her prolactin levels will help her at this
point. Linda J. Smith pointed out that a mom can have extremely high
prolactin levels and still not make enough milk IF her prolactin receptors
weren't employed during the first few weeks of breastfeeding. If her
blood tests come back saying she's low in prolactin, Reglan might help,
but not if it's from lack of stimulation at the inception of breastfeeding.

Anyone else have an opinion on that?
