a girlfriend of mine is using "Hyland's Homeopathic Teething tablets" for her 6 month-old. I remember using them for Sean and Harrison. This company makes other "homeopathic remedies" including "Colic Tablets" and "Earache Tablets," which are basically herbs like chamomile "in a pleasant tasting Lactose NF (milk sugar) base" (I don't know what NF means). I'm finally starting to understand the differences between lactose "intolerance" and milk protein intolerance/ sensitivity from formula &/or mom's diet, and lactose overload from oversupply...etc, but am still a little confused and curious about something:
How does a mom of a newborn using say the "colic" or "earache" products (with a lactose base) compare to baby receiving "just one bottle" or mom consuming dairy products? Not the same, right, since lactose is milk *sugar* and formula or mom drinking milk confers milk *protein*? I'm still a little fuzzy. So if a mom doesn't consume any dairy and never gives her baby formula, but used any of those products, what if any is the potential effect on her baby regarding sensitivities/ intolerances?
Thanks and sorry for a "dumb" question,
