Dear Friends:

Now here is a lovely example of what I was talking about in my earlier post
today about sacrificing breastfeeding on the altar of ignorance.

Upon what evidence or common sense or compassion is this physician basing
the recommendation to deny breastfeeding after a 2.5 year old baby has a
tonsillectomy? I assume the doctor is letting the child eat and drink?

I imagine a hurting toddler would want to nurse more at this time for pain
relief and comfort and to ingest an isotonic substance that will soothe injured
 tissue and promote its healing.

warmly,

Nikki Lee RN, MS, Mother of 2, IBCLC, CCE, CIMI
craniosacral therapy practitioner
