Congratulations on your new grandson - I am sure it is a big joy for all your family!

I have seen this lack of poop but good feeding and normal weight gain happen in some babies, incl home-birthed babies. In some it just improves spontaneously, in others it persists. I have heard from doctors that it could have something to do with a traumatic labor, but for some of these moms and babies it was a very normal birth (a hospital birth, but as I wrote, I have seen this in a home-birthed baby too who hardly lost any weight).

So I am curious too as to what other explanations there might be for this.
