Night sweats could be related to several factors: Immediately following
birth, the body has lots of fluid to "dump"; and probably more pertinent is
that low estrogen levels can cause "hot flashes." Why these are worse at
night has been hypothesized to be related to increased prolactin levels at
night.

I've had great success with treating these with wild yam and vitex
combination. Wild yam, is a phytoestrogen, which will not inhibit
lactation; vitex/chaste tree is a bit more debatable.
