I have heard a variation of this here in Washington state. An acquaintance
was told by her husband that their 3rd and last child, a boy and his only
son must be breastfed, even though their daughters were not breastfed due to
the mother's choice. When it came to his boy, he was adamant "my son
deserves this."

her friend in New Jersey was all ready to 'try' breastfeeding until she
discovered she was having a boy and breastfeeding a boy just seemed 'wrong '
to her.
