Pat, and others,

I'm not interested in arguing the pros and cons of immunizations. I
work in a telephone triage department, and the call I had last night was
about a NB exposed in the home by siblings and cousins. The Mom
actually had C Pox when she was 6 YO, but it got me to thinking. What
about these kids today who are immunized and have never had the
disease. Does that protection transfer to the breastfed NB like having
the actual disease? Also, since the varivax is only about 80%
effective, at least in the last I read, what does that mean to a NB or
an immunized Mom?

Thanks so much,
Sue Kasten
