This is in the current issue of the American Museum of Natural
History magazine, http://www.amnh.org/naturalhistory/.  Click on the
feature article, "Mothers and Others."

The article describes how cooperative breeding, where others in the
group (besides the mother and sometimes father) help to care for
young, is a worthy survival strategy.  It provides an interesting
perspective on current child-rearing practices.  And yes,
breastfeeding is mentioned, as are the lactation hormones, thus
making it relevant here!  :-)
