Hi lactnetters,
I was watching too much tv today but breastfeeding was mentioned
twice. Kelly Ripa on Regis is nursing her third child. She said she
pumped (at first, Regis thought she was exercising,) and dumped so she
could have a glass of wine, and fed her baby expressed breastmilk. She
takes her baby to work (lucky her), and makes frequent references to
nursing in a very positive manner. On The View, and actress(don't remember
her name) was asked by the host Meredith Viera if she was nursing and she
said of course, and Meredith told her that was wonderful.
Warm regards on this cold May,

I also watch too much tv and saw an episode last week in which Regis asked
how long Kelly would be nursing the baby and she demured, "Until we're both
ready to see other people..." She talked repeatedly of not going out
without the baby too much because she needs to feed him at least every three
hours. It is gratifying to see such a public persona who is clearly
enjoying breastfeeding and portraying it in a positive light, and for whom
breastfeeding is "normal."
