Actually, my dh purchased the diapers at a Kansas City area store that does
*not* issue those little shopper discount cards. He did pay with a credit
card since the checkbook was in my purse and I was home in bed with the
baby. I wonder, though, whether paying by check is just as much of a "tip
off" as plastic or discount shopper cards since your driver's license data
are in the system? However, there must be some way this is cross-checked
because just anybody buying premie diapers will not have ABM show up on
their front porch, right? Could it be that when I notified my doctor that
Baby Gavin was here that his office notified my insurance provider that
maternity care was terminated, then insurance relayed that info to Big
Brother? There's a missing piece here that puzzles me.

The person at Nestle is the one who made the purchase connection and I will
definitely be calling the grocery store to validate the theory, although it
may take some work to get to the computer guru in charge of such interesting
marketing schemes. My insurance company rarely has answers to my questions,
but I'll query them, too. I'll keep you all updated.

Too bad we can't use this to increase breastfeeding--like offering health
insurance discounts for those who breastfeed. The first time you purchased
ABM, the grocery store info would trigger a higher insurance premium. Now
I'm a dreaming conspiracy theorist! :-)
