Hi Catherine,

Thank you for your message. The baby I am trying to help can swallow, only
30 ml at each time, and it is not enough for the medical team. Surgery for
the palate is planned on november, when the baby will be nine month old. The
physician said she must be able to swallow correctly at that time otherwise
she could need a nasal tube to be fed still for a very long time. The
parents are of course very anxious about this risk. As she does not take
human milk with a spoon, they were told to try to introduce industrial
creams with cow milk, eggs, chemical flavors and a lot of sugar because it
is very smooth, a little thick and all babies like to eat meals with sugar
....
I am terribly shoked that they do not take into account the choice of the
parents to feed the baby with the milk of the mother .... breastfeeding is
really still a challenge in France while it is so important for this baby
...

Thank you to all those who sent me a personnal message, this list is really
a precious help.
I am interested in receiving the photo you mentionned, Catherine, thanks a
lot.
