I facilitate a health care system based new moms group, about 80% BF moms. I
used to also do a "BF resourse group" but it was not as well attended as the
more general new moms group so I stopped holding it. We discuss BF issues
alot in new moms group 50-90% BF discussion on any given day. I "facilitate"
the more experienced moms to answer most of the questions and concerns and I
fill in info as needed. This mostly mom to mom support works well. Guess
thats nothing new to LLLLs! Some of the BF moms in my group don't consider
LLL due to misconceptions which I correct. It is a challenge to make sure
that the moms using ABM feel a part of the group in spite of fundemental
differences in philosophy and opinions. The long-term benefit of having one
general group is that the moms using ABM are learning a lot from the BF moms
that I *hope* they will use with their next baby.

Jon's neice is a valuable asset to that group but maybe the neice could
additionally seek out a more appropriate group that better meets her needs.
