Pam:

 iron is both unneccessary but harmful in bf infants... the appropriate
amount is good but too much is NOT GOOD.

 their system is receiving an excess which has the potential to negate the
lactoferrin as it will be too "full" to function. additionally this added
iron is not as bio available therfore it becomes an irritant to the system.

  have mom stop and she will find that baby is much more content!
