Dear all:

All the hospitals here in Manhattan write pounds and ounces for the birth weight and then grams for discharge weights. One hospital weighs the babies in the delivery room and then weighs the babies again on the postpartum ward.   Moms always tell me that the staff argue about which scale is correct.  This has been going on for years. 

All the pediatricians use pounds and ounces.  Drives me nuts.  I would love to just wave a wand and make everyone use grams.  Not happening!!!
