Aloha,

As alcohol based Gentian Violet was all that was available in Hawai'i, I
e-mailed Dr. Hale for his suggestions.  I am sorry, I don't have that exact
info with me.  You'd think that after all these months after I have moved, I
would be finally organized.  Dr. Hale suggested adding water to the alcohol
based Gentian Violet--I believe 1:1.  Do not quote me now as I do not have
the exact info at my finger tips.  When using this solution, I always
cautioned moms to not overdo it.  The moms and babes I worked with had no
problems using this.  Maybe Dr. Hale can clarify--before I ever find my notes!
