Alicia- Nipples that will not heal could indicate nipple yeast (fungus).
 Does mom have predisposing factors? (ie antibiotic use, anemia,DM).  Does
baby have thrush,sore red bottom or repeatedly pull off breast?  If yes,
refer to Latation Consultant Series Unit 18.  Both Mom and baby must be
treated at the same time!  Refer to HCP. TX: Nystatin oral suspension for
baby and Nystatin cream for Mom .  Good luck.
