Thanks, Chayn, for the kind words.  It's pretty frustrating.

The issue with that is that my mentor is recertifying for the first time
this year (head mentors have to be recertified at least once under Pathway
3).  I agree that I should be able to begin logging hours after she sits for
the exam in July.  Of course, any hours I put in would be invalid if she
didn't pass, but I see no reason to wait until she has her results in-hand,
if I'm comfortable with the risk that she may not pass and my hours would be
invalid.  Obviously, her experience or ability to teach me isn't going to be
significantly different between July and October, which is the really
frustrating part.  It's just red tape. Those few months are the difference
between me sitting for the exam, and not.
