Chayn, I have never heard of a traditional Australian galactogogue, and the
herbals we see now appear to be ones that are used more commonly overseas
and are catching on here. I think your client may be thinking of the
pharmaceutical Domperidone (Motilium), a prescription line, which is not
available in the US but is available in Australia and commonly prescribed
now. 

In my research I looked through decades of women's magazines for
advertising. Years ago, the supplements advertised as galactogogues in
Australia were mostly commercial products of British origin. Not herbs. In
the 1920s-1930s, these were likely to be powdered products intended to be
mixed into cow's milk "for infants, invalids and the aged" - with some
advertisements targeted at breastfeeding mothers, claiming to improve milk
yield and quality, e.g. Ovaltine and Robinson's Groats.  Just an advertising
claim, no evidence. The other product was Lactagol tablets, which were
withdrawn in the 1970s after their contents were called into question.  A
large tablet in a metal tube, they had been advertised for very many years
as necessary to a good milk supply.

Yes, my guess would be that the "Australian" galactogogue is only
Domperidone.
