I don't want to contradict my earlier post, but I'm not sure how good a
predictor this is. In our sample in LLL, I think it is obvious that a
mother committed to BF would have differences over parenting with an
unsupportive partner. OTOH, we might find a lot more divorces among a
different population in which *neither* parent believed in BF.
BTW, I hope your co-Leader didn't actually say that at the meeting; it
could be discouraging for mothers to hear. Many, many mothers have minor
differences with their partners over BF -- duration in particular -- and
work through them, just as many mothers start out with the intention to
BF for six weeks, six months, etc. and continue longer.
