Several people have contacted us (KGA and KB) re: a rumor.  Specifically,
that the formula company contacting WIC offices and others about their
experiences with breast pumps is Ross Laboratories, and that they may soon
be coming out with a new breast pump much like that marketed by another
breast pump company.  In fact, a related rumor is that the this pump
company has been bought or will soon be bought out by Ross.

We urge that anyone being contacted by any company inquiring about breast
pump use/availability, and the like find out the name of company whose
representative is asking such questions and further to inquire as to WHY
such questions are being asked and what product SPECIFICALLY they want to
have the office/individual consider instead.

By remaining alert to the possibilities (consider them!) it is likely that
what may now be only rumor can be pinned down so that all of us are then
aware of the FACTS of the situation.
