You need to talk to Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Beth Allen is nurse
manager.  Our local networking group had her come and talk about what she
has done at Northside.  They have a HUGE number of LC's on staff, rent
out 300+ breast pumps, have a hospital store with BFconsults, equipment,
and it's partnered with breast cancer accessories--wigs, clothing, etc.
AND they get reimbursement for what they do on the floor!  To justify
what the LC's do and the numbers they wanted, Beth had them keep track of
every minute they spent with patients, on the phone, etc  It worked!  Get
in touch with her.  If the hospitals around here got their acts together
like Northside those of us in private practice would be out of business.
