Boy, sometimes this list can be pretty scorching for some of us. Ouch.
Anyway, nursing during a circ just is not possible. Our babies ARE
brought to the mothers IMMEDIATELY after the procedure to be nursed and
loved.
Many painful procedures can be done with the baby at breast. I still
wonder whether this doesn't cause the baby to associate the breast with
something painful though.
I think soothing them during the procedure with something like
Sweet-Ease (or novacaine, even better!) and then soothing them at the
breast afterward might prevent bad associations for them.

(Not even bothering to don the flameproof suit...it doesn't help anyway.)
