Hi All

Does anyone have any information on the practise of  stomach washing of newborns to eliminate muscous. I have been unsucessful with my search on Lactnet.

How successful is this practise?
Is there any evidence based research on the outcome?
Is there any  repercussions for the baby and  breastfeeding.
