dear jeanette,

any copy of the local mother's milk bank newsletter will tell you several
updates of children that sound exactly like this one, who are now thriving or
at least surviving on breastmilk. remember this is the gold standard!
pasteurized breastmilk is still infinitely better than any white junk. and,
even after pasteurization it still performs it's usual miracles.

i once happened to go in to the milk bank at the same time as a mother and
baby i had referred to them. that was one sick looking child, having made the
rounds of all formulas, and all sorts of doctors, including full batteries of
allergy tests. he improved dramatically right away.

so do you think your client's doctor could spring for a phone call to talk to
a milk bank? there are several. or perhaps if our national director is back on
lactnet she could communicate with them what the guidelines are for using
donor milk.

IT IS STILL BETTER (there, see, i really do know how to use the shift key.)
