While on the topic of Weight Watchers, I have heard of and/or assisted with
three nursing moms here in Canada (three different provinces) who were
asked to leave "diet group" meetings. Two were Weight Watchers, one was
"TOPS" (a similar group). Here in Saskatchewan, a mom won her Human Rights
complaint against Weight Watchers. I am currently supporting a mom in
Ontario to challenge the TOPS policy of "no children under 7 allowed to
attend meetings". In correspondence with her, the TOPS representative noted
that they DO want to accomodate nursing moms, but are thinking more in line
of providing babysitting services at meetings.
