At the risk of exceeding my all time posting record before signing off to
complete pressing tasks, I must share with you that the connection is
probably NOT the bf but the medication that was given for ear infections.
Having been down that route myself with my number one son, I didn't know
that I could decline that pink artificially flavored amoxicillan without
risking my son's hearing. He became horribly sensitized to the red dye in
it and later had an anaphylatic reacton. As part of this, I became aware of
the Feingold association which promotes the management of many different
health issues though diets that avoid synthetic dyes, flavorings,
preservatives, etc. (in the first stage of their diet, they eliminate
salicylates too). They have a great publication reviewing the scientific
literature connecting these with Autism and also ADHD. To see this
