Dear Ann, That above statement ALONE should earn you a "gold medal"! I am so
glad you felt like sharing today, the description of your program is awe
inspiring. After having worked in SEVERAL hospitals as a nurse for the past
18yrs and an LC for the last 5, I can honestly say that I believed that the
inconsistent info. complaint by Moms would NEVER be fixed and that hospital
breastfeeding support would always be relegated to "putting out fires". Not
only does your program sound infinitely more practical than any I've seen, it
also sounds to be developed from a position of kind support and encouragement
for all of your "pupils", staff and patients alike!
If you don't mind, I would love to print this up and offer it to a friend of
mine who is still developing her LC program at a local hospital!
Good Luck to you- your energy level must be through the roof!
