Dear Lactnet readers:  Looking for assistance by anyone who may be having success with insurance billing and reimbursement in the State of Michigan.  Our small hospital (400 deliveries per year with over 50% Medicaid) is a level one facility; our lactation services program provides services to anyone and that has always been our goal.  We have 2 physicians who are the medical directors for our program. The "new administration" of our hospital has given us "2 weeks" to uncover any/all reimbursement possibilities for classes, f/u services etc or we will no longer exist.  I have studied and applied the ideas set forth in Marsha Walker's "reimbursement toolkit" but so far nothing applies to the State of Michigan except the use of a super bill and have everyone pay for services on demand.  Any/all help regarding this would be appreciated; all information will be shared via Lactnet for others as well. In much distress over the possibility that "formula will become the norm once again at our facility" and "breastfeeding will become the second choice." Deborah K.
