More thoughts on persistent thrush:

1. Several years ago Dr. David Mathis presented a talk on Thrush at the LLL
Physicians Seminar. He showed slides of candida hyphae penetrating intact
endothelian and epithelial tissue. He thinks this is how candida gets into
the milk ducts.

2. Over 50% of all antibiotics sold go into cattle feed. I bet most dairy
products are laced with antibiotic residue.

3. Allergy weakens the immune system which then cannot fight off thrush as
well, and people can be allergic to yeast. A vicious cycle if ever there
was one. Given the prevalence of hidden allergies in the maternal
population, aggressive marketing of dairy products, and babies who were
given "just a little" dairy-based formula in the hospital nursery, I
strongly suspect underlying allergies when working with a mom with
persistent thrush.

4. I've noticed a strong correlation with airborne molds and prevalence of
yeast in various places I've lived. I see lots of nipple thrush between
April and November in Ohio, and this was even worse when I lived in the
Virginia tidewater area.

agricultural products (and cow milk is an "agricultural product")
