There is an extensive discussion of TB and the bf mom and baby in Ruth
Lawrence's book, Breastfeeding, A Guide for the Medical Profession, 1999.

From what I glean after quickly reading this very thorough section, pp
570-573, the mother can be treated, and the baby can receive prophylactic
treatment, and the mother can pump during the period where no bf is
allowed, to maintain supply, with the hope of returning to bf after this
period of treatment.

As a LLL Leader, you will want to take full advantage of your Professional
Liason, who is available to you to help you with complex situations, and
also with LLL's Center for Breastfeeding Information, a storehouse of
technical research articles re: these kinds of complexities.

Warmly

Kathleen
