Yes, work situations can require some ingenuity. And you're also right
that the mother needs to feel comfortable and private (because to speak
to another current thread, how much a mother can pump and how much the
baby can remove are not necessarily the same thing. Some people are
natural-born pumpers, while others really have to find their tricks to
make the pump productive.)
Just a cover-up might not be enough. What about a curtain, or even a
folding screen, that she can prop against the wall most of the day, and
just partition off a corner where the camera isn't for the pumping
session. If the overhead angle is the problem, there are lots of easy
pop-up tents that just snap open, and that some mothers have used for
pumping in outdoor settings. I used to have one that was tall and
narrow -- can't see anything like that on a quick look on the Internet,
but there's probably one that would fit the space -- here's a quick example:

And her toddler will someday have fun playing with it.
If she's self-conscious about the pump sound, she can play relaxing
music, which might help her anyway.
