Getting rid of the pacifier should be treated the same way we get rid of everything else. Cut back slowly. For instance start by only giving the pacifier at sleep times and then decrease it down to only giving the pacifier at night sleep times and then decrease it down by allowing him to lay down to sleep and after a set amount of time give the pacifier to him. Each night increase the amount of time that he is laying down with out the pacifier.
