This Tuesday, February 10, the TV magazine EXTRA! will feature a segment on
breastfeeding. I was actively involved in assisting them with filming in the
NYC area (finding mothers, breastfeeding friendly work sites, a local LLL
Leader - that kind of thing), where the focus was to have been breastfeeding
in the work place. However, at the last minute, the assignment was given to a
California producer and from what I understand, it has taken a more
breastfeeding in public theme.

From all reports, it sounds like a positive piece. The gal I was working with
here did explain that "of course we have to show both sides of the issue" but
that their "other side" was "a guy who is just not believable".

EXTRA! is a syndicated show and so is on different TV stations throughout the
country (and I'm not sure if syndicated in other parts of the world). Please
check your TV listings for time and channel.

Warmly,
Sheila Angalet

PS - Perhaps a nice part of this was the gal I worked with commenting to me
that she had never considered breastfeeding before, but now, after doing the
work for the piece, she will definitely breastfeed - whenever she has
children. :-)
