We have an infant in our NICU that was delivered at 34 weeks gestation due
to maternal melanoma. Mom will be starting chemotherapy in three weeks.
We (the neonatologist and myself) would like mom to breastfeed until then.
The parents have some concerns regarding this and would like something that
says it is OK to breastfeed with maternal melanoma. I know that this is
not a contra-indicatin to breastfeeding but the parents really want
something that specifically says it is OK. Does anyone have a reference
for this? Thanks.
