Rachel wrote this a couple of days ago. I found this surprising, because in
Australia there IS a minimum requirement. Before assessment, the hospital
has to do an audit and show that a certain proportion of babies are being
breastfed in hospital. I think it is 80%. I haven't been involved in BFHI
for a couple of years, but I don't think it's changed.  We did discuss
changing it at National Advisory Council meetings a few years ago, as it was
harder for hospitals in low SES areas to achieve this. But I haven't heard
that this requirement was altered.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!
