I have heard that pushing a mom's thyroid level into the "high-normal" range
from a "low-normal" can help if she has a low supply from the
hypothyroidism, but I have not witnessed it.

Did she have breast changes in pregnancy? I have seen women with both high
or low thyroid hormone levels during pregnancy who did not appear to have
development of milk-making tissue. They have had low supplies despite
therapy for their high or low thyroid levels.
