There are many different amorphous hydrogels. DermaSciences makes one in
a one ounce plastic accordion squeeze bottle, there are many others than
come in small tubes. They tend to be expensive, because they are
sterile, but many moms who are so beat up don't care, they love the
relief. And amorphous hydrogel rinses right off a wound with a little
water, no friction needed.

Look at what your favorite medical supply company has in stock.
Alginates are okay too, they are seaweed derivatives that absorb
moisture to make a gel. Alginates will stay in contact with a wound
better than hydrogels if the mom is leaking a lot. Avoid other additives
that we know less about.
