3 copies of Marsha Walker's report for NABA, "Selling Out Mothers and
Babies: Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes in the USA" arrived in my
mailbox this week.  It is AWESOME.  At $7.00 per copy (plus shipping) it is
well worth having to GIVE AWAY to folks who need to read it.  I am going to
have my husband, who works for the Delaware Department of Public Health,
give a copy to Dr. Tillman, who is the director of the state's Department of
Health and Human Services.  I am also thinking of sending one to the top
person at the big local hospital, with just a brief note asking him/her to
read it and think about becoming Baby Friendly.  And a copy to the head of
WIC for the state.

For all those of you who work in hospitals that still accept infant formula
and let formula reps on the floor, I strongly recommend getting a copy and
mailing it to the person who can change the hospital's policy, with perhaps
another copy to the head of the hospitals ethics committee.  You can even
send the report anonymously!  The information is clear-cut, the report is
very professional looking, and the conclusions are unmistakeable.  I've
always been a fan of Marsha Walker -- she has come through again
brilliantly.  This report NEEDS to be on the desk of every hospital
administrator who makes decisions about formula use in the hospital.  And on
the desk of the head of every state's Department of Health.
