One of my partners-to-be has a mom who is scheduled for I & D of 2
superficial breast abscesses tomorrow am. The surgeon has promised to make
radial incisions and not to cut into the areola, but he's told mom she
cannot nurse OR pump tomorrow after surgery. I've been reading the
archives, but haven't found any reference to articles pertaining to the
safety of nursing post-surgical drainage. There is one by Mohrbacher &
Stock, 1997 referenced in Riordan & Auerbach...does anyone have this in
their computer or a hard copy? (If it's helpful!)
Any other "ammo" you could share?

Thanks alot-this mom is from Russia--very determined, but little support,
except from my friend!
