I have been asked to talk with a Lesbian couple who are having a baby. Both
women would like to be able to breastfeed the baby. The non-pregnant women
has never been pregnant before, and she has asked about herbs to induce
lactation as she has heard that she could breasfeed without having been
pregnant or given birth. I have worked with a few adoptive couples before
and had mixed results, so I'm curious as to how all of you "wise ones" out
there in cyberspace would handle this. Would you start her pumping (if so,
how far in advance)? or would you let the mother pump extra after feeding
the baby so that the partner could feed baby with an SNS. Any one
experienced with this situation or had it work?
