Having had a stereotactic biopsy, I would be reluctant to recommend it to a
lactating woman. Literally, almost two hours pressed into a mammogram, and a
bruised and battered, very tender breast, are not realistic if one is nursing
frequently. If an older nursling, that only nursed once or twice daily,
perhaps this would be possible. I did not feel the literature I was given,
and the research I did prior to the procedure was realistic about the
discomfort or trauma to the breast.
