The infamous growth charts were developed by the Centers for Disease
Control/National Center for Health Statistics, based on thousands of
children across the US, some on whom *were* breastfed.  They were developed
for the assessment of populations of children, not individual children.

They are provided free of charge to doctors' offices by Ross Labs, but Ross
Labs did not develop them.
