Yes, I agree.  I have a husband who doesn't trust studies or statistics,
and neither do my inlaws.  What I try and tell them is that statistics
can be manipulated, and studies can have funding that makes them
suspect...but that one should look at all the variables in such a study
and its resulting statistics, read all the data, figure out who did the
study, what exactly they are saying, and then base your belief on that
particular study on what you have just read, rather than saying "I don't
believe in studies at all" which I find to be rather un-educated, in
general.
