I would be VERY watchful of this. I have seen peds downplay a situation that
was actually very dangerous. My first thought is it may even be seizure
activity going on. I noticed some weird, very subtle eye movements once in a
newborn baby. The mom had noticed, too, but the doc dismissed them. I
told the mom a similar thing--it may be totally normal, but I have never seen
it, so it would be a good idea to pursue it with the doc again. She did and
guess what? He referred to a neurologist and the baby was having hundreds
of seizures/day! she got on meds right away and is doing awesome now. It's
so important for us to trust our instincts and teach the moms to trust their
instincts! Everybody wins. And if it turns out to be nothing...great!
