Pacis are NOT recommended by the AAP for breastfeeding babies until 
breastfeeding is established.  Taking infants of mothers under 17 and over 
35 smacks of agism. Where is any info saying these infants are more at risk?
Babies need to be with mom in the first hour and nurse.  Then do a sugar. 
Sugars are not supposed to be done immediately after birth!
I'd say someone needs to read the info more carefully - perhaps the 
hospital's legal dept?  These parents and babies are being abused by your 
hospital!  Pat in SNJ
