Sorry, as I said this was unpublished data from Sandra Lang.  I have not got
a copy of the second edition of her book, I don't know if anyone who is
familiar with it would care to comment on what it says in there.  I remember
that one of the points Sandra made is that the differences in quality might
be more important that than the differences in quantity (quantity usually
higher with the pump).  AS I recall the study, women with babies in special
care unit hand expressed and used a pump during alternate weeks, so the milk
was a direct comparison from the same women.  But I do not want to say more
than I can remember.
